Beauty from the rising sun

This series of picture is a geisha's tribute. Thoses female companion master of entertainment, such as dance, shamisen, singing and poetry. Present in 18th century, they were liked by occidentals artists, inspired even in their art. Nowadays, this tradition tends to be lost.
